At 0234 hours, Engine 1, Engine 7, Engine 9, Engine 5, Truck 1, Tower 9, Rescue Squad 5, Ambulance 198, and Ambulance 798 were dispatched to 23576 Hollywood Road in Leonardtown for the House Fire. Engine 72 and Chief 7B responded shortly after dispatch with 6 Volunteers. While responding Chief 1 requested Tankers to be placed on the call due to the distance of the hydrant to the Structure. Tanker 74 responded with and additional 6 Volunteers on the incident.

Chief 1 was first to arrive finding a one story single family house, with fire showing from the rear of the structure. The Structure was a single story single family home that was added on and converted into apartments in the rear. Engine 11 was next to arrive, dropping a split lay to the scene and requesting the next arriving Engine to complete the split to a dry hydrant across the street. Engine 72 arrived with the crew advancing a second line to the structure and the Engine driver completing the supply line to the dry hydrant. The Crew of Engine 11 stretched to side "C" of the structure knocking the bulk of the fire where the roof had collapsed in. The Crew of Engine 72 made a push from the interior to cut off the fire from reaching the front half of the house. Due to the amount of material inside the house, this fire was extremely hard to extinguish and continued to flare up in hidden pockets. Tanker 74 arrived on the scene with the Crew working a line on side "D" and extinguishing fire as they made their way through the structure. The Crew of Engine 72 went through 2 cylinders and was re-assigned to the attic with Engine 52. Crews found high heat conditions and Fire throughout the attic space extinguishing the same.

Crews worked for an hour before the fire was placed under control. The majority of the units remained on the scene and assisted with overhaul before picking up and returning to service. The units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 0616 hours.

Chief 1(Bell) held the Command and the State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
