At 1544 hours, Station 7, EMS Station 79, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to Steerhorn Neck Rd in the area of Greenwell State Park for a Motor Vehicle. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 73 responded on the incident with 8 volunteers. Rescue Squad 7 was first to arrive finding a single vehicle off the roadway with one occupant trapped in the vehicle. The crew from the Rescue Squad stabilized the vehicle and popped the door to gain access to the patient. Once the patient was freed from the vehicle, EMS determined that she would need to be flown to the Trauma Center. Engine 73 handled the Landing Zone for Trooper 7 on the scene and the patient was flown to PG Trauma Center. The units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 1643 hours.
