On Monday 27 January 2020 at approximately 1615 hours, Hollywood Volunteers from Station 7 were dispatched with other stations to the area of 45300 Daniel's Road in Hollywood for a vehicle fire next to a structure. Engine 72, Truck 7, Tanker 74, and Captain 7 responded with 12 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Captain 7 arrived on-scene to find an excavator on fire with no exposure issues to any structures. The assignment was scaled back to the units from Hollywood VFD to mitigate the incident. The units from Station 7 arrived on-scene and extinguished the excavator fire within minutes. Units remained on the scene for approximately an hour, performing salvage and overhaul. Captain 7 (Brenden Abell) held the Hollywood Command.
