At approximately 2130 hours Friday, 28 July 2023, Tanker 7 was alerted to the 22500 block of Point Lookout Road, in Leonardtown, for the House Fire. Tanker 74 and Chief 7A (Rector) responded with 7 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department Chief 1 (C. Bell) arrived on the scene to find a 1 story, single family home, with smoke showing from side A and a fire on the back deck. Due to the excessive heat, Rescue Squad 7 was added to the run on the Task Force, bringing 4 additional Volunteers. Tanker 74 arrived on the scene and assisted with opening up and extinguishing fire in the walls and attic. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene and assisted units with opening up the walls and the roof. Due to the construction of multiple roofs, firefighters had to make numerous openings to gain access to fire in the different void spaces. The fire was placed under control within 45 minutes and Command held all units for several hours performing overhaul. The Units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 0045 hours. Chief 7A (Rector) held the Division 1 Supervisor role then moved to the Roof. Chief 1 (C. Bell) held the Command.

A 3rd crew remained in quarters to cover calls in the area.
