Hollywood VFD Responds To House Fire In Charlotte Hall

At approximately 1630 hours, Truck 7 and Rescue Squad 7 were dispatched to the 30500 block of Vinessa Court in Charlotte Hall for the House Fire. Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7 (Rogers) and Chief 7A (Rector) responded with 11 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Units from Hughesville arrived on the scene to find a 1 story, single family home, with smoke showing. Truck 7 arrived on the scene with the crew immediately reporting inside to open up for the Engine Companies. Rescue Squad 7 arrived and conducted a search, that proved negative, then assisted with Companies opening up. The fire was placed under control within 40 minutes of dispatch. The assignment was scaled back to the Units from Mechanicsville, Hughesville, and Hollywood VFD's to perform overhaul and all others returned to service. The Units from Station 7 remained on the scene until being released by Command, returning to quarters at 1857 hours. Chief 2 (Trowbridge) held the Command with Chief 7A (Rogers) operating as the Attack Group Supervisor.
