At approximately 1515 hours Saturday, 5 August 2023, Engine 7 and Truck 7 were dispatched to the 23300 Jonquil Lane, in Wildewood, for the house fire. Engine 73, Truck 7, and Chief 7 (Rogers) responded with 9 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Units from Bay District Volunteer Fire Department arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of a two story duplex. Engine 73 arrived on the scene and picked up Engine 32's supply line with the crew stretching an attack line to the basement entrance. Truck 7 arrived and positioned on Side A, laddering the structure, and assisting the Engine Companies operating. Command requested a Working Fire Task Force and RIT Task Force to respond on the incident. Engine 72 and Engine 74 responded with 8 additional Volunteers on the run. The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes and was held to the single room in the basement. All Units remained on the scene performing searches and overhaul. All searches proved negative and no extension was found from the basement. The Units from Station 7 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 1700 hours. Chief 3A (C. King) held the Command with Chief 7 (Rogers) as the Basement Division Supervisor.
