At 21:20 hour Friday, 20 September 2024, units from Hollywood and neighboring companies were alerted to the 25500 block of Friendship School Rd in Hollywood for the reported Garage Fire. Engine 73 responded on dispatched with 5 personnel, Truck 7 and Engine Tanker 74 also responded with an additional 10 personnel.

Chief 7A (Rector) was first to arrive and found a 40x25 garage with fire through the roof, and established the Hollywood Command. Engine 73 arrived and stretched a 2” handline and went to work on fire attack while the wagon driver stretched a supply line back to the street. Truck 7 arrived shortly after and assisted Engine 73 with fire attack and Engine Tanker 74 began establishing the water supply upon their arrival.

The fire was placed under control in approx. 35 minutes and was later scaled back to the units from Co.7, Engine 11, and the tankers. The scene was then turned over to the Maryland State Fire Marshals office. Chief 7A (Rector) held the Hollywood Command.
