At 1735 hours Company’s 7, 1, 9, 3, and Water Supply 5 were dispatched for a reported House Fire next to 24730 Half Pone Point Road in Hollywood. Engine 73, Truck 7, Tanker 74, Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, Chief 7, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded shortly after dispatch with a total of 24 Volunteers. Communications advised Chief 7 that the caller stated there was smoke coming from the attic are of the house next door to them. Chief 7 arrived on location within minutes of dispatch to find a two story, single family residence with smoke showing from the attic and established the "Half Pone Point" Command.

Engine 73 arrived on location shortly after with now fire showing from the second floor. The Crew advanced an 1 ¾” attack line to side Charlie, to gain access to the interior, and started going to work on Division 2. Truck 7 arrived and threw multiple ground ladders to all sides of the structure, began a primary search of Division 2, and assisted Engine 73 with opening up the ceiling into the attic. Chief 7A was assigned the Division 2 Supervisor and advised Command that he has fire in the attic area. Tanker 74 arrived on location and pulled a second attack line and went to work with Engine 73 to extinguish the fire. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on location and assisted with opening up and securing the power. Rescue Squad 7 then proceeded to the first floor to conduct a primary search that proved negative.

At 1807 hours, Command advised Communications that the fire was knocked and would be holding units from Hollywood and Leonardtown to assist in overhaul.

Due to quick work from units on the scene the fire was contained to a room on the second floor and the attic only. Crews worked together to make a quick stop on a well advanced fire. At 1905 hours, Chief 7 terminated the Half Pone Point Command and all units from Hollywood were in quarters at 1919 hours.
