At approximately 0940 hours Sunday, 8 January 2023, Engine 7 and Truck 7 were dispatched to the 38700 block of Dickerson Road for the House Fire. Engine 72, Truck 7, Chief 7 (Rogers) and Chief 7B (Tatum) responded with 13 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving units from Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department found a one story, single family home, with fire showing. Truck 7 arrived on the scene with the crew conducting a primary search, which proved negative, then assisted with opening up. Engine 72 reported to a fill site in the area and established a water supply from a draft. The crew of Engine 72 reported to the scene and assisted with overhaul. The Units from Hollywood operated for an hour before returning to service. The units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 1135 hours. Chief 5 (J. A. Nelson) held the Command.

This was the first fire that 2 of our members were checked off as interior firefighters. FF Insley and FF Woodburn just completed MFRI Firefighter 1 and all HVFD requirements as of last night.
