On Thursday 8 August 2024 at approximately 1608 hours, the assignment was sent to Mervell Dean Road in the area of Halford Lane for the reported accident with entrapment.

Engine 73, Squad 7, Chief 7B (D. Insley) and Chief 7A (Rector) responded at dispatched.

Captain 7 arrived to find a single vehicle accident with one occupant trapped and another occupant who had self-extricated.

Units stabilized the vehicle and utilized the HURST Jaws of Life to conduct a sidewall removal to extricate the trapped occupant.

Chief 7B (D. Insley) held the Hollywood Command.

Chief 3A (Turner) was the “extrication group” supervisor.

Several patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation.
